The future of Italian blues comes from Sardinia. This young self-taught guitarist, harmonica player and singer, appearing in solo version has already been able to impress audiences in prestigious festivals such as the International Blues Challenge in Memphis and the Pistoia Blues. He has opened for the father of British blues John Mayall, duetted with the likes of Tommy Emmanuel, was two years on tour as guitarist David Van De Sfroos.
An explosive mix of blues, funk and soul in acoustic, this is the magic formula of the sound of Francis More, a prodigious one-man band that is defined by the magazine Guitar Club "a veritable force of nature."
Accompanying her own voice with instruments like acoustic guitar, dobro, Weissenborn, banjo, lap steel and harmonica, this blues Sardinian has carved out a prominent place in the panorama of Italian and international blues.
By participating in the most important festival of its kind (IBC Memphis, Pistoia Blues, Blues Narcao, Trasimeno Blues, Blues Magic, Santa Blues de Tenerife, Blues au Chateau, Salaise Blues to name a few) has also opened concerts for major artists such as Jimmie Vaughan, Robert Cray, Johnny Winter, Charlie Musselwhite, The Derek Trucks Band, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Sonny Landreth, Joe Bonamassa, Larry Carlton and trod the stage with artists such as Eric Bibb, Roy Rogers, Guy Davis, Sandra Hall, Kevin Welch, Andy J.Forest, Sugar Blue, Keith Dunn, Fabio Treves, Eugene Kelly and many others.
After winning the national selections he performed in January 2010 AT THE INTERNATIONAL BLUES CHALLENGE in Memphis, Tennessee as Italian representative.
But this is not the only awards granted to Francis More: in 2003 the first prize in the "Blues From Sardinia" to Narcao Blues Festival, in 2008 the first prize in the "Out of the Blue's" Samedan (SWI) and in 2011 it awarded the prestigious "Premio Maria Carta".
He has had two albums under his name. The first titled BLUES JOURNEY (2007) where he plays all by himself. The second, amygdala LIVE AT THEATRE (2010) as a trio, with the support of Master Pablo Leoni on drums and percussion and harmonica David Hope, won the prize for BEST CD OF 2010 to the Second edition. the "National Radio Award Trampa" dedicated to independent productions and gets rave reviews from the press. "Live at Theatre Amygdala: without a doubt one of the CDs of the year!" - Silvano Brambilla, The Blues.
A new chapter of his discography will open in February 2012 with the publication of MA-MOO TONES produced by Eric Bibb.
